Följer du min guide behöver du inga strömtjuvar alls. Här är den:
If you look at the wiring diagram you can see that the feed to the fog lights splits up at a junction connector called J14. Therefore it is fitting to make the connections at or before this JC.
The tail lights are connectred the same way, but at a JC called J15. Presumably J14 and J15 should be located near eachother.
This drawing confirms that
To be able to reach the connectors you need to remove the rear seats. I'll make a guide on how to do that as well.
It doesn't really matter which one of these green-white wires you use, but the one the arrow points at is the one coming from the brake light switch.
Cut and peel the orange-green wire. The green-white wire doens't need to be cut, only peeled.
Now you need two diodes if you're aiming for stage 2 or 3. I used 6A40 diodes, which means max. 6A and 400V.
Solder the diodes and wires together like this.
Insulate the connections to avoid shorts.
Now it's time to deal with the fog lights. You'll need two 5/21W bulbs. They are the same as the ones for your tail lights.
You also need two bulb holders. They can be bought here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI. … 169wt_1012
The bulb holders need some cutting to fit into the fog light housings. Luckily they are made from a plastic that is easily modified using a sharp knife.
Remove the connectors from your old bulb holders and connect them you your new ones like this. As you can see there is one wire left over, the black-red one.
Connect the lights and make sure they light up when you press the brake pedal.
Splice the black-red wire and connect it to the green-black wire going to the license plate light.
Insulate and reconnect. Make sure your new tail lights light up along with the other ones and that they become brighter when you press the brake pedal. If everything does what it's supposed to you can refit the rear seat.
Congratulations! You've now finished the stage 3 Skyline mod. That sounds a little bit more fancy than it is, doesn't it?
Hojta till om du undrar över något, så kan jag hjälpa dig.
