I had a hx35 twinscroll. I portet out the divider for the twinscroll down to the wg hole, portet the wg hole to absolut max size, and my boost still ran away. But nice to know! Which exhaust housing is yours? And do you have a link to the gti-r sunny?

Was the stock wastegate big enough on the hx30 to keep the boost in check?

A toyota with a compressor would carry the Z in the engine-edition number. As in 2JZ-GTZE :D
