Performance shop (Volvo S40 -97)

Hi im from bulgaria and im fan of volvo. Unfortunately in my country the tuning is not very popular.  Could you tell me some big online shops for performance parts, exterior tuning and etc for 1997 Volvo S40?  wink I want to order with credit card for my car . Thanks

www.atechmotor.se is a famous Volvotuner in Sweden, unfortunately their site seems to be in Swedish only but give them a call at +46520 480520, maybe they can help smile

-97 S40 i N/A  so for engine tuning you are restricted to either engine swap(includeing gearbox) to a T4 engine or stick with your 140bhp...

Dunno how it works with yearly inspection of cars where you live...  if the rules are not to bad you can make an engine swap, put in a -00 T4 with gearbox and ECU, and you got 260bhp with stage 3 tuning smile

In my contry there is no T4 engines. Imported volvos from other countries are only 1.6, 1.8, rarely 2.0 and 1.9Diesel. I ordered one stock wing from ebay, but on ebay  not so much parts. Even nothing. Only headlights and grilles.sad

no turbo at all? what kind off rules u got obout tuning?

Neither one turbo in entire country. Volvo and saab are not popular and the import is small. Not so much volvo and saabs, only bmw, opel and vw

How much $ is ?

Any possible way to raise the 1.8 engine or no sense?

the renault gearbox will not handle it...   so engine swap is the only chance

(a T4 engine with gearbox in good working order is about $1700 / €1050)

In bulgaria one guy with V40 2.0 140HP maded the project 400hp+. he is the only one with tuned volvo. but he is with the stock gearbox. only tuning on motor, exhaust and other.

The  Old models of s40 only comes with 5 gears..

after 2004  some of them have 6 gears

All i want is at least 200 hp in that car. So if i dont put turbo could i reach 200 hp with new air intake, exhaust, ecu upgarde and may be camshaft gears/mild camshaft/headers/flywheel?
