"Comm 2000 Unit" som gett upp. Sitter ner bakom ratten och undertill instrumenthuset. Letade upp en annan tråd om saken fast på engelska:
"It might be a possible bad connection, but this is in the Comm 2000 unit. So unless you are confident, well tooled up, experienced...just have it replaced by someone who is! If you are confident:
1st, follow BSI/Airbag shutdown procedure.
You are going to have to remove the airbag, horn assembly, steering wheel, lower/upper cowling around steering wheel. before carrying out anything make sure your wheels are aligned straight.
You should be able to see the small speaker grill on the right of the black plastic casing that holds the indicator stalks and in there is are the brass pins that connects speaker to the Comms board, give them a clean or tweak
Gently prise front cover off the casing, be careful to not pull out clock spring and don't turn it! (you will see what I mean when you get this far)
Two screws will be holding the bottom of casing to plug in connectors at the back of the comms unit remove these.
look carefully on top of casing and you will 2/3 snap connectors, wedge a piece of paper under these to keep clear of locating holes, and the same for the bottom....gently ease the front cover off and that will hold the speaker.
Rig up test kit..battery and wires. Test speaker first by using a 1.5v battery and just touch speaker pins with wires and it should click and sound scratchy, if it don't then just replace speaker.
once you are sure you have made good clean contacts....replace everything!!
Speaker still not working......replace Comm 2000 board.
Not for the faint hearted, but it sounds harder than it is, but make sure you have correct torx bits, drivers..etc"
Tänk på 80-talet. Då körde hantverkarna Cheva Startcraft med V8-diesel. Det var tider det!
