I can imagine. Not as good chassis as the prelude, but rwd is slightly more controllable instead of the 'lude trying to decide if it will under- or oversteer :P
But this picture... you're supposed to look at is and say "Oh, my, what a pretty car, and pretty place. That guy is so lucky. I wish I could be him." ;)
We've done one race and finished mid-pack in a field of 120 cars. So, not bad, but not good. Three rookie drivers and two very experienced drivers on the team. In this series, though, the team that has the most fun wins.
Yes, it is an old motor. We didn't do any work on it except take out the red straw from the #2 cylinder, change the oil, and get new spark plugs. Before the next race we'll see if adjusting the valves helps.
The motor is still running strong, somewhere just under 90 whp, and that after 25 years sitting in an orchard, then over 2,000 miles on the track and about 800 miles on California freeways.
Nothing. It has been getting to the track for track days and instructing, but no mods or anything like that. All of our time and energy has been going into the other car, the yellow Opel GT. Our last race was in December, the next race us in March.
