Yes, it is an old motor. We didn't do any work on it except take out the red straw from the #2 cylinder, change the oil, and get new spark plugs. Before the next race we'll see if adjusting the valves helps.

The motor is still running strong, somewhere just under 90 whp, and that after 25 years sitting in an orchard, then over 2,000 miles on the track and about 800 miles on California freeways.
