Very clean MR2!

such a bad ass car! The new wheels are awesome.

Definitely better. I sold my 780 last week and currently have my 242/245 for sale. I think I may go on a Volvo hiatus for a while.

They are photoshopped.

240 turbos are fairly common, but not as much as they use to be 5-10 years ago :( My friend just bought an 83 group a (only year turbo flathood in US). Supposedly there were only 500 total. Sometimes they pop up in groups, sometimes nothing for months. There's a few on turbobricks.com right now. Check out craigslist.org in SF Bay Area if you're interested in trying to import one to Sverige.

Probably easier than Sweden. You can buy a 244 in good shape for 1-3k USD. 242s usually a little more. 245s are beginning to go up in value. No rust in California :)

thanks :)

Congrats on the import :) California has a lot of nice cars because we don't have to deal with rust. Are you on turbobricks?

there's some other videos on youtube. just type "john lane volvo" and some should pop up.

The PRV is a pile of crap. There's one guy in the US that runs a turbo PRV in a 242 for rally racing. But yea, B230FT is great. Really wish they came with an M90 here.

They are "somewhat" common in California. Probably more so than Sweden. And yes, they came with b230ft as well as the PRV motor. 1991 was B230ft only :) Someone told me that Sweden only received the PRV model :(

I agree with making it all black. I did this a few months ago when I converted the front end to a flathood setup.

We have a few websites :) www.turbobricks.com and www.brickspeed.net (not many users on that one). Some day I plan on visiting Sweden and bringing a very large box for parts :-P

In the US all years had reflectors except 82 or 83 DL. They are somewhat rare and desirable here..I think that's why I like these more. The reflectors do look good though :)

I've read some markets got the b204FT and M90 transmission. (italy maybe).

California :-p

No M90s in the use. People usually import them from the UK or Europe. The swap costs from 1000-2000USD depending on what comes with the swap. Shipping is what kills you.

They pop up every so often in the junkyards here.

I know :( Not many 740 turbos came with manuals in the US.

Most non-volvo enthusiasts don't know what it is since I have most of the badges removed. The volvo enthusiasts here love their volvos a lot. Check out turbobricks.com for the majority of the American community for RWD turbo volvos. There's a few Canadian, Central America and Europeans on there too!

If I did that it might rust :-p Are 780s very rare there?

Amerikaner gillar att sätta in EU plattor på sina europeiska bilar. Detta är ett svenskt skylt som matchar min amerikanska tallrik :)

Lemoore naval base. It's about 40 min southwest of Fresno.

Ledsen, jag kan inte sälja bilen. Jag gillar det för mycket :-P

whoa! we did not get those lights in the U.S.A. Are those stock units in Sweden? Looks like it has built in fog lights! Very cool.
