  • Effekt / Vridmoment
    85 hk / 130 Nm
  • Motor, växellåda och avgassystem
    1.9 liter, high-compression, putting out 85 whp and 94 ft-lbs. The engine had a header and we replaced the Solex carburetor with the recommended Weber. We also changed the oil and spark plugs and that is the engine we ran the race with.

    That engine, the one we found in the car, served us well for 4 races. It started to die on us at the 24 hour race at Reno-Fernley. We rebuilt our spare and it is running great!
  • Effekt och prestanda (ingående)
    85 whp and 94 ft-lbs torque.

    The car turns 2:29 laps at Thunderhill, which is very respectable.

    0-60 or 1/4 mile times? Are you kidding? 85 hp!!! Actually, I will be measuring this soon.
  • Chassi
    Front - stock suspension consisting of transverse leaf springs and aftermarket Sears Heavy Duty shocks from the 1980's. Hard poly bushings replaced the rotted out rubber bushings and we added a sway bar, standard equipment in the European GTs but optional in the US.

    Rear - solid axle/coil spings. We we given high-pressure KYB shocks and hard poly bushings, which helped a lot. We also added a sway bar.

    It drives like a kart now! Well, it pushes a little, but it's not bad. Overall, very good handling.

    After a year of racing, the car still handles great. We're reluctant to change anything.
  • Fälgar, däck och bromsar
    Wheels - Diamond Racing steelies, 15x7. Show wheels are C4-style aluminum. Make is unknown.

    Tires - Falken Azenis 615K.

    Brakes - Stock front disks and rear drums, except that we use a special Porterfield pad and shoe compound and the brake fluid is Motul 600.
  • Interiör / Inredning
    Seriously? Nothing is left. Everything that could burn or adds weight is gone. In other words, the interior is gone. Instead, we have a Kirkey seat, removable wheel, custom gauge/switch panel, and a fire extinguisher. Oh, and a LeMons/NASA/SCCA-spec roll cage.
  • Bilstereo och multimedia
    Music is provided by the engine, exhaust, and occasionally a chorus of squealing tires.

    Multimedia is provided by the panoramic rear-view mirror.
  • Exteriör / Styling
    Our theme was the ALMS Corvettes raced by Corvette Racing, so we found the closest match in yellow paint we could find at our local hardware store and rollered that on, then stuck on the appropriate decals, and finally a big CF wing.
  • Framtidsplaner
    We've been racing this car for just over a year and it is going strong! We've trophied four times in 8 races and the car is getting some respect. We're considered an A-class team with a C-class car, the team that can win because we want it. Unfortunately, after dominating C-class for a year, we've been bumped up into A-class, with the big boys, with the horsepower. Can we win that? No, but we can surprise and impress. Stand by for updates.
  • Övrigt
    The car is not fast, but it is not slow either. What it lacks in power it makes up for in low weight and great handling. We've raced it for a year already and are doing very well. The fact that we haven't been hit yet by any of the 120-190 other crap cans that are out on track with us has been described as "freaky".
