Efter lite sökning på nätet så hittade denna text smile

"Twin-scroll or divided turbochargers have two exhaust gas inlets, a smaller sharper angled one for quick response and a larger less angled one for peak performance.

To efficiently recover exhaust energy, the exhaust manifold pairs the cylinders to each inlet. With high-performance camshaft timing, the exhaust valves in different cylinders can be opened at same time, such as the end of the power stroke in one cylinder and the the end of exhaust stroke in another. By physically separating the cylinders where exhaust flow can interfere with each other, twin-scroll designs improve scavenging, which decreases exhaust gas temperatures and NOx emissions and improves turbine efficiency, reducing turbo lag".
