very very nice. and another "non-swede" here ;) so the 740 was bought in germany and was obviously in a volvo-fans hand (since it has a 740 on the plate).

In holland are 740's older than 1987 very expensive. (2000 to 7000 euro!) newer 740's are very cheap. 1986 is the last year for taxfree driving in Holland. My '91er 940 is very expensive per month. I pay 200 Euro per month tax and insurance. The 740 is free.

i've noticed that. when i was looking for a full optioned 945 i was also lookin in the netherlands. there is a big difference. the tax-issue is very interesting btw!

It's a very nice law for a oldtimerfan. All cars of 25 year and older are taxfree in holland. A lot of people buying old mercedesen and bmw's from Deutchland and Belgie for cheep driving. Therefore the tax-law was amended. 1986 will taxfree, 1987 no longer.

The 940 is only for driving. He has ridden 480,000 km on LPG. The plan is to drive to one million. The 740 is for fun. I have already used white Blinkers. I have red-white rearlights of a new type of order. I will take pictures tomorrow. I want the car a little faster through the boost to 1.0 bar to perform. I doubt about the type of rims. I think to Super 17''DTM.

740 Turbo is very fun, I had 1 before.. Miss the engine in the red one now! Looking forward to se the new pics with white blinkers. Only 17"? Why not 18"?

18'' is to big I think. I like a very nice 17''deep rim below the 740. Bigger is for me not anytime better. I'm not an American :)
